Anything that can't be recycled or composted goes into the black Garbage cart. Remember, anything that is placed into the garbage goes directly to the landfill. However, many items that we cannot accept in the recycling or composting program can be accepted elsewhere. • Foil-backed or plastic-backed paper

• Juice or soy milk type boxes with foil liner
• Kitty litter and animal feces (bagged)
• Pens and pencils
• Plastic bags, wrappers and film
• Rubber bands
• Small pieces of plywood, pressboard, and painted or stained wood
• Snack bags and wrappers
• Styrofoam
