	This morning marks the beginning of Recology San Mateo County's phased delivery of 276,000 new Recycle, Compost and Garbage carts to residents of the South Bayside Waste Management Authority (SBWMA) service area (i.e., Atherton, Belmont, Burlingame, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Hillsborough, Menlo Park, Redwood City, San Carlos, San Mateo, Unincorporated San Mateo County and the West Bay Sanitary District) with deliveries first starting in the City of San Mateo. 	In continued preparation for providing collection services for the twelve member agencies in the RethinkWaste service area, Recology San Mateo County has produced a compilation of instructional videos to help customers learn more about their upcoming programs. 	Residents living in single-family homes in the RethinkWaste service have until this Friday, July 9, to change their Garbage Cart size if they would like to do so. Residents in most of RethinkWaste's service area received a Garbage Cart Selection Brochure over a three-week period in June letting them know what their current garbage service level is and what size Garbage Cart had been assigned to them based on that service level. 	Beginning July 1, 2010, Recology San Mateo County, in partnership with RethinkWaste, will launch their "Recycling Blitz" outreach campaign, giving commercial and multi-family customers a head start on the new services coming to San Mateo County on January 1, 2011. Read More...

	The RethinkWaste Board of Directors approved two significant items related to the new franchised collection services at its April 22, 2010 meeting - making these the last major contractual decisions before the actual transition from Allied Waste of San Mateo County (Allied Waste) to Recology San Mateo County (Recology) for rollout of new collection services begins later this summer.
