Recology San Mateo County is proud to offer single-stream recycling at no additional charge and an optional compost program to its Multi-Family customers.

Metal Bins:
Continue to use your existing metal bins. Beginning January 2011, Recology San Mateo County will paint and re-label them to reflect our new recycling, compost and garbage collection services. You don't need to do anything; it will happen automatically.

Technical Assistance: Have you gone through your garbage lately? By recycling, you can significantly reduce your amount of garbage and could downsize your garbage container or service - and the cost. We will provide on-site technical assistance to help you determine the most cost effective garbage collection and recycle and compost programs available to meet your specific needs.

*20 and 32 gallon carts do look very similar in size; however, the 20 gallon cart has an in-mold volume reducer to diminish its capacity.

Commercial Bins are available in a variety of sizes. The most common sized bins are listed below.* However, larger bins including 9, 15, 20, 30 and 40 cubic yards are also available. Contact us for more information.

• Recycle, Compost and Garbage signs
  These signs display what materials should and should not be placed in each of the three containers. They can be printed and posted in a visible area above your containers so your employees, customers or tenants know what goes where.
