Beginning July 1, 2010, Recology San Mateo County will visit commercial customers in the SBWMA service area to discuss the advantages of our recycling and compost services. If you are not currently subscribed to a recycling service and are interested in doing so, or if you're already recycling and have questions, contact us at (650) 595-3900 or greenyourbiz@recology.com. Recycling is SMART business! Make your business go green - in more ways than one!

Garbage, recycling and Compost carts Recycling and Garbage Carts:
From August 16 to December 3, 2010, Recology San Mateo County will deliver a new blue Recycling cart and black Garbage cart as Republic Services Inc. removes your old carts. You don't need to do anything for this to occur; it will happen automatically.

Garbage, recycling and compost metal bins Metal Bins:
Continue to use your existing metal bins. Beginning January 2011, Recology San Mateo County will paint and re-label them to reflect our new recycling, compost and garbage services. Again - you don't need to do anything; it will happen automatically.

It Pays to be Green:
Recycling is SMART business! By increasing your recycling habits and reducing the amount of garbage you produce, you could lower the amount of money your business spends on garbage collection.

Your Recology San Mateo County DVD and its packaging can be recycled!

Did you know CDs and DVDs are recyclable? Discs are shredded and recycled into a number of new products, often as automotive or construction materials. Even motorcycle helmets!

You can mail or drop off your Recology San Mateo County DVD at GreenCitizen's Peninsula Drop-Off Center, located on Mahler Road in Burlingame. Just be sure to separate the disc from the jewel case, if it came in one, and they'll recycle both for free. If you received one in a paper sleeve, you can simply place the sleeve right in your blue Recycle cart or bin.
